Drug and Alcohol Testing

Certain groups of employees may be subject to pre-employment and post-incident drug and alcohol testing.

Drug and alcohol testing policies apply to the following categories of staff:

• US Department of Transportation (DOT)-Covered Employees (.pdf)
  
• Facilities Maintenance Services (FMS) Staff (.pdf) (non-DOT-covered)
• University Police Department Employees (.pdf) (non-DOT-covered)

If you suspect that an employee is abusing drugs (illegal or prescription) or alcohol in a way that is affecting performance, contact the LifeWorks Management Line at 1-800-608-7515 for advice on how to address the issue and refer the individual to the employee assistance program.
