Directions to Human Resources 

Carnegie Mellon Human Resources office is located in Whitfield Hall, at 143 North Craig Street, between Fifth and Bayard.

Driving Directions

From the East/ Monroeville:

  1. Follow 376 West to Exit 9, Edgewood/Swissvale
  2. Turn right onto Braddock Avenue (at the end of the ramp)
  3. Continue to the Forbes Avenue intersection (Frick Park will be on the left)
  4. Turn left onto Forbes Avenue and follow it approximately three miles to campus
  5. Continue down Forbes Avenue past campus to North Craig Street (just before the Carnegie Museum)
  6. Turn right onto South Craig Street and continue up to Fifth Avenue Continue straight, crossing over Fifth Avenue; you will now be on North Craig Street; Whitfield Hall is half-a-block up on the left, at 143 North Craig Street 

From the Pittsburgh International Airport and South:

  1. Merge onto 60 S via the ramp to I-79/Pittsburgh
  2. Continue on US-22 E/30 E/ 279 N
  3. Take exit 6B to merge onto Liberty Ave
  4. Turn right at 7th Ave
  5. Merge onto Bigelow Blvd via the ramp to I-579 N/ 380 E
  6. After 2 miles, Bigelow forks right; stay straight and in the right lane, and follow signs for Baum Boulevard; at the Baum Blvd stop light, continue in the right lane to go straight onto N. Craig St
  7. Whitfield Hall will be about half a mile up on your right hand side

From the Northwest/North:

  1. Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike East to Exit 3, Cranberry
  2. Follow Interstate 79 South to 279 South
  3. Stay on 279 South toward Pittsburgh
  4. As you near the city, follow signs for 579 South and the Veterans Bridge
  5. Take the 6th Ave exit
  6. Follow signs for the Mellon Arena
  7. Follow signs for Bigelow Boulevard/Oakland
  8. Merge onto Bigelow Boulevard
  9. After 2 miles, Bigelow forks right; stay straight and in the right lane, and follow signs for Baum Boulevard; at the Baum Blvd stop light, continue in the right lane to go straight onto N. Craig Street
  10. 143 Whitfield Hall will be about half a mile up on your right hand side
