During Open Enrollment:
Log into HR Connection starting on November 4 to review your current elections and enroll in benefits for 2014. Be sure to complete Open Enrollment before the end of the enrollment period on Monday, November 18 at 5:00 p.m. (eastern time). Your elections become effective on January 1, 2014, and remain in effect for the entire year. After the enrollment period, you cannot change your benefit elections unless you experience a qualifying status change.
If you do not actively enroll using HR Connection, most of your 2013 benefits will roll over into 2014. New rates and plan features will apply.
Contributions to the Health Care Flexible Spending Account and Dependent Care Reimbursement Account will not roll over automatically. You must re-enroll in these accounts each year to continue participation.
Important to Note:
Regarding Highmark & UPMC: Highmark members will continue to have access to UPMC providers and facilities through December 31, 2014. The university is currently reviewing our relationships with medical plan providers for 2015 to ensure that our employees will have adequate access to providers and facilities.
