Bioethics Society of Boston University
The Bioethics Society of Boston University is pleased to announce the Fifth Annual National Undergraduate
Bioethics Conference on March 22-23. Bioethics 2002 will explore the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects
of the bioethical issues facing humanity. This student-run conference will provide a unique opportunity for
you to interact directly with healthcare professionals, scientists, and ethicists by presenting an open forum
allowing each participant the opportunity to share ideas. The first day of the conference will focus primarily
on currently evolving technologies such as stem cell work and xenotransplantation in medicine and their ethical
implications. The second day of the conference will focus on health and human rights, AIDS in Africa,
international bioethics, public health and social justice -- in short, issues that impact healthcare worldwide.
