Application Timetable for Medical Schools Although the following timetable is specific to medical schools, many other health professional programs follow a similar schedule. Junior Year Spring Take the MCAT. Request five letters of recommendation: 3 academic letters (from faculty members), 2 other letters (e.g. from supervisors of research, service or workstudy positions).    Spring/Summer of Junior Year Schedule HPP committee interview. Your interview will be conducted by 2-3 faculty members, and will last 1-2 hours. June 1 - Middle of July at End of Junior Year Research and decide the programs to which you wish to apply (3 tier approach). Write a one-page personal statement for your application. Submit AMCAS and non-AMCAS applications.       Senior Year July to December of Senior Year Complete secondary applications at request of individual medical schools.
