Greek Housing Winter Break info


Greek houses close on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 12 pm and reopen on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 12 pm.

ATTENTION: When you return for Spring 2015 semester

All residents must visit a kiosk upon their return for the spring semester to reactivate their ID card. Your 4-digit housing pin number will be your birthday (month, day. ie. June 12 would be 0612).

Kiosk stations are located at the Housing Services office (Morewood E-101), Donner House, Hill Service Center, Morewood Gardens, Mudge House, The Residence on Fifth, Stever House and West Wing.

GREEK HOUSES CAN REMAIN OPEN OVER WINTER BREAK
In accordance with the Greek housing lease, approved Greek houses can remain open during Winter Break if they meet the minimum of five current occupants staying throughout the entire Winter Break. (There must be five current spring/fall occupants of the house present every day of the break period for the house to remain open.) If five current occupants of the house are present, additional on-campus residents can stay but need approval of current residents in the room they will be residing. Housing will not provide access to spaces without Greek resident approval.

WINTER BREAK ROSTER WILL BE DUE MONDAY DECEMBER 1
All requesting fraternities and sororities must submit to Housing Services an occupancy list of Winter Break residents.  This list must include:

- Greek organization and name of the formal Winter Break contact person with cell phone number  

- Full names of students staying & Andrew ID's

- Room numbers in which they will be occupying

- Dates that each individual will be occupying the house to obtain approval to remain open

Key Access information to the Greek houses during Winter Break will be sent to the approved students. Information regarding obtaining and activating the separate white access key card will be provided. Your CMU Student ID card is not activated during Winter Break. You must obtain a white guest key card during this period.
