Sustainability House is an experiential living-learning community dedicated to environmentally conscious living. If you want to promote sustainability practices and awareness at CMU and beyond, our community may be for you!

Webster Hall Apartments
Sunday, February 1, 2:00-4:00 pm
Webster Hall (4415 Fifth Avenue in Oakland)

Webster Hall offers efficiency and one and two bedroom apartments, which are spacious and come with a fully-furnished living room. Amenities include a gym, a home-style deli (with rave reviews), a salon, a laundry room, and broadband Internet. All students eligible for Room Selection are invited but students who are applying for Block Housing are highly encouraged to attend Webster's Open House. Tours of the building will be given and you will also be able to see the inside of a Webster apartment. RA staff will be available to answer any questions you have.

Clyde House

The Intersection House community will host two Open Houses, which begin in the iSection Lounge located on the ground level of the Margaret Morrison Plaza. There will be tours of specific room types, and RAs along with current residents, will be on hand to answer any questions about living in our diverse housing communities.

Morewood Gardens

Join us at the Morewood Garden's Open House to take a tour of the building, see the different types of rooms offered, and learn about some exciting changes to Morewood Gardens for the next academic year. Those who are interested in Block Housing for next year should definitely plan to attend, as Morewood will once again accommodate blocks. Snacks will be provided!

Resnik House & West Wing

What’s not to love about Resnik and West Wing? In addition to being the most centrally located residence halls on campus, they are also two of the most modern, having received many updates and much TLC in recent years. Join us for our Open House!

McGill House

Join the McGill House staff for an awesome Open House event! There will be lots of food as well as current residents showing off their McGill rooms and the overall awesomeness that is McGill House. The McGill community is unique because it is the only mixed class, all women’s community on campus. We can't wait to show you around McGill!

Doherty Apartments

The staff and residents of Doherty welcome you to a pre-Room Selection open house! Doherty is a popular on-campus option because of its apartment-style living and close proximity to classes, the Cohon University Center, and athletic venues. At the open house, you will get to see several of the various room types available and explore the amenities on the ground floor including the recreational lounge, quiet study room, and fitness area. RAs and residents will be on hand to answer your questions.

Shady Oak Apartments

Shady Oak offers efficiency, two-bedroom, three-bedroom and suite-style apartments, as well as a fitness room, laundry facilities, and a TV room and lounge. All students eligible for Room Selection are invited but students who are applying for Block Housing are highly encouraged to attend Shady Oak's Open House. Tours of the building will be given and you will also be able to see the inside of a Shady Oak apartment. RA staff will be available to answer any questions you have.

Fairfax Apartments
Thursday, February 12, 6:00-9:00 pm
Meet in the Fairfax lobby (4614 Fifth Avenue)

Fairfax offers efficiencies and one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, as well as laundry facilities, a community space with a kitchen and a large screen television, fitness facilities, and a roof-top patio. All students eligible for Room Selection are invited but students who are applying for Block Housing are highly encouraged to attend the Fairfax Open House. Tours of the building will be given and you will also be able to see the inside of a Fairfax apartment. RA staff will be available to answer any questions you have.
