Hamerschlag House-Housing Services - Carnegie Mellon University

Hamerschlag House

Hamerschlag House is a first-year, all-male residence hall located on The Hill. Though incoming students assigned to live in Hamerschlag may be hesitant and skeptical about living in an all-male residence hall, they quickly realize how special and unique the community really is. The Hamerschlag culture allows students to be themselves, to explore the young adults they are, and to challenge them to build the foundation for the men they want to be. Schlagmare, a long-standing tradition, is Hamerschlag's largest program, which takes place during the week of Halloween when the men of Hamerschlag transform the hall into an amazing haunted house that is open to the entire CMU community.

With two wings connected by a large recreational room, Hamerschlag has standard double rooms, a few single rooms, laundry facilities, a shared kitchen, and a TV room.
