Room Inspection and Damage Billing
Upon checking in, each student must inspect his or her room, apartment or house, and complete an electronic Living Space Condition Report (e-LSCR) as accurately as possible. This report plays an important part in tracking damages from check-in to check-out and is the main component of spring closing inspections and damage billing assessments.
Complete your Room Inspection
Residents who are checked into their fall semester housing assignment can complete their Room Inspection by logging into the Housing and Dining portal, and clicking on the "Inventory" option from the gray menu bar near the top of the page. To be considered "checked in," you must either have checked in at a first-year check-in tent, at a Housing kiosk (for upper-class students in key card buildings), or picked up your hard key at the Residence on Fifth desk. All rooms receive two separate inspections following the final check-out: one for cleanliness and another for damages and missing furniture. The billing assessment for all room damages will be based on the e-LSCR forms completed at fall check-in. Roommates whose rooms fall below standard may share significant financial charges to cover cleaning and repair and furniture replacement costs unless specific responsibility can be established.
