Early Arrival Housing Requests

For security and logistical reasons, residents are not permitted to check into campus housing before the established check-in dates except for specially approved groups participating in orientation, athletics, or transitioning from campus Summer Housing. Also, residents CANNOT store their belongings in their fall assignment prior to their actual move-in. If students arrive early without pre-approval and gain access to their rooms, they will be charged US$100 per room night through their student accounts.

If you are part of a pre-approved group

CAs, RAs, athletic teams and ROTC are some of the pre-approved early arrival groups. If you are a member of one of these groups, please DO NOT use the following online application link. Your early arrival request should be sent to the Housing Services office via your advisor or coach who will be able to advise you the status of your early arrival application status.

If you are an individual

The online early arrival request form is available from July 29 to 5 pm, August 9, 2013. After submitting an early arrival request, you will receive an acknowledgement email that is not an approval of your request. You will receive a separate approval or denial message once your request is reviewed. Please know that any requests received after 5 pm on August 9 will receive an automatic denial message. It is recommended that requests be submitted as early as possible for consideration. Your request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and a decision will be emailed to your Andrew account.

The majority of individuals requesting early arrival status are denied with limited exceptions. Residents are provided with the official move-in dates early in the academic year in a variety of means, so that appropriate living and travel arrangements can be made. In addition, our housing facilities are extensively used during the summer for our summer housing residents and Conference & Event Services guests. During the last few weeks before classes, we need to prepare the buildings for your return. Lastly, the Residential Life staff is in training and is not available as a resource to early arrival residents.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and see you in August!
I have read the information above and understand that by submitting this request I am NOT automatically approved for early arrival. I understand that an email response to my request will be sent to my Andrew email account at a later date.
