Early Arrival Housing Requests
The official fall housing term begins on August 25, 2016. For security and other logistical reasons, residents are not permitted to check into campus housing before the established check-in dates. There are exceptions for specially approved groups participating in orientation, athletics, or for those transitioning from campus Summer Housing. These students will be notified of their early check-in date via their Andrew email address.
Please note that residents may not store their belongings in their fall assignment prior to their actual move-in. If students arrive early without pre-approval and gain access to their rooms, they will be charged US$100 per night through their student accounts.

CAs, RAs, athletic teams, and ROTC are some of the pre-approved early arrival groups. If you are a member of one of these groups, you do not need to apply for an individual request. Your early arrival request will be sent to Housing Services via your advisor or coach, who will be able to advise you of the status of your early arrival status.

The online early arrival request form will be available from July 15 to August 5, 2016. After submitting an early arrival request, you will receive an acknowledgement email of your request. Once your request is reviewed, you will receive a separate approval or denial email. Please note that any requests received after 5 pm on August 5 will receive an automatic denial message. We recommend that you submit your request as early as possible for consideration.
Many individuals requesting early arrival status are denied with limited exceptions. Residents are provided with the official move-in dates early in the year so that appropriate living and travel arrangements can be made.
