Carnegie Mellon has contracted with United Concordia to provide excellent and affordable student dental insurance. Students can enroll in the vision insurance plan during the Fall or Spring open enrollment periods only.Plan name: United Concordia, Concordia Preferred

Coverage period: August 1 - July 31 for Fall enrollees, January 1 - July 31 for Spring enrollees.
Enroll early so that you receive your new insurance card before your plan starts. Your prior year's card ceases to work after August 1 when the new plans start each year.

The full premium price applies, even if enrollment does not begin until Jan 1. Note there was no premium increase for the 2012-2013 year.
