• Alfa Fellowship Program
  Work for 1 year in Russia to help develop understanding of Russia today. Open to students with a graduate degree in business, economics, journalism, law, public policy, or government. Program runs from March thru April of the following year. At least beginning Russian language skills required. U.S. citizenship required.
  
• The American Australian Association - Australia Fellowship Program
  Study abroad in Australia in life and ocean sciences, medicine, or mining. Open to post-graduate, doctoral, or postdoctoral students. U.S. citizenship required.
  
• American Councils for International Education Eurasian Regional Language Program
  Language study abroad in various Eurasian languages. Open to juniors, seniors, or graduate students who have completed two years of study in Russian, the host-country language, or a related language.
  
• The American Institute for Foreign Study, Inc.
  Scholarships to study abroad in Argentina, Australia, Austria, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, France, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Peru, Russia, South America, or Spain. Open to undergraduate students.
  
• The American-Scandinavian Foundation - Awards for Study in Scandinavia
  Fellowships of up to $23,000 or grants of up to $4,000. Open to graduating seniors or higher who would like to pursue research or study in one or more Scandinavian countries for up to one year. U.S. citizenship required.
  
• AIPT - Association for International Practical Training
  Work abroad for 12-18 months in various fields. Open to undergraduates, recent graduates, or graduate students in a variety of fields.
  
• Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies
  $20,000 for nine-month fellowships in Washington D.C. Open to U.S. citizens with a graduate or bachelor's degree, who are interested in politics and Asian Pacific American communities.
• Blakemore Foundation Grants for Advanced Study of Asian Languages
  One year of advanced language study in East or Southeast Asia. Students may study Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Khmer, Malaysian, Tibetan, Thai, or Burmese. Applicants must have received an undergraduate degree before beginning program. U.S. citizenship required.
  
• Bridging Scholarships
  $2,500-$4,000 to study abroad in Japan for one semester or one year. Open to U.S.-citizen undergraduates in any field. Prior knowledge of Japanese language not required.

  Work professionally in Germany. Open to graduating seniors or recent graduates in business, marketing, engineering, computer science, hotel management/tourism or a related field.
  
• Central Europe Summer Research Institute (CESRI)
  High-quality international summer research experience in Austria, The Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland or Slovakia. Open to U.S. graduate students in the sciences and engineering.
  
• Charles Darwin University - Engineering Scholarships
  Study abroad for 1 year in Australia. Open to undergraduates in architecture, engineering, and industrial design.
  
• Chateaubriand Fellowships
  Nine months of research abroad in France in French literature, cinema, the humanities, arts, philosophy, political science, technology, or science. Open to Ph.D. students in the humanities or social sciences.

• NSF - East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes for U.S. Graduate Students (EAPSI)
  $5,000 for research abroad in in Australia, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore or Taiwan. Open to U.S.-citizen or permanent resident graduate students in science and engineering.
• The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship
  Provides funding for Master's and Doctoral students from Asia, the Pacific, or the U.S. to participate in educational and research programs at the East-West Center while pursuing graduate study at the University of Hawaii.

• Gates Cambridge Scholarships
  Scholarships for graduate study at the University of Cambridge. Open to American students in any field. Award covers full cost of study at Cambridge plus return airfare from the U.K.

  $25,000 stipend for Ph.D. students in art history who are at any stage of dissertation research or writing. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
• Alexander von Humboldt Foundation - Germany
  One year of study in Germany in government, social and policy sciences, law, journalism, communications, management, finance, economics, architecture, public sciences, humanities, arts, or environmental affairs. Open to graduate students or recent graduates. Prior knowledge of German not required. U.S., Russian, or Chinese citizenship required.
• Humanity in Action
  Month-long summer program in New York, Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, or Warsaw on national and international human rights issues. Travel costs and housing are paid for by the program. Students who attend the program qualify for internships and fellowships with various human rights groups. Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

• UNESCO - Laura W. Bush Traveling Fellowship
  $2,500 to U.S. citizen undergraduate and graduate students between the ages of 18 to 25 and are eligible for travel. Students propose an international project which will be funded by the fellowship, fulfilling the mandate for UNESCO, promoting education, natural science, social and human sciences, culture and/or communication and information.
  
• The Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship
  $8,500-$20,000 to defray the costs of advanced study in the U.S. or abroad. Open to students with a Bachelor's degree in instrumental or vocal music, architectural design or history, landscape architecture, urban or regional planning, art, design, theatre, or dance.
• The Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellows Program
  Two-year initiative focusing on public policy and its effects on hunger, food security, and poverty. Program includes one-year field placement in countries throughout Asia, Africa, or Latin America, and one year in a policy setting. Open to U.S.-citizen graduate students.
  
• Marshall Scholarships
  Funding for graduate study in the U.K. This prestigious award covers university fees, tuition, books, a thesis grant, research and daily travel, plus fares to and from the U.S. Open to U.S.-citizen seniors and graduate students.
  
• The George J. Mitchell Scholarships
  Funding for graduate study in Ireland or Northern Ireland. Award covers tuition, housing, living expenses, and international travel. Open to U.S.-citizen seniors, alumni, and graduate students no older than 30.

  Provides $7,500 scholarships to undergraduate American students to study at universities in Japan. These scholarships supplement a $5,000 grant awarded by the United States-Japan Bridging Foundation.
