CBYX Young Professionals

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals is a fellowship funded by the German Bundestag and U.S. Department of State, that annually provides 75 American and 75 German young professionals, between the ages of 18½–24, the opportunity to spend one year in each other’s countries, studying, interning, and living with hosts on a cultural immersion program.

Churchill Scholarship

The Churchill is for U.S. citizen graduating seniors or alumni who earned their undergraduate degree within the last 12 months. The award includes full funding for a one-year Master’s degree in a STEM field at the University of Cambridge, England. Applicants should be extremely high-GPA students with substantial research achievements in a particular area of STEM.

Critical Language Scholarship

The Critical Language Scholarship funds U.S. undergraduate and graduate students for intensive summer language instruction and cultural imemersion in 13 critical need foreign languages.

DAAD

The DAAD supports students in various programs to support study abroad in research or graduate studies in Germany.

Fulbright

The Fulbright funds graduate studies, independent research, or teaching English in over 150 countries worldwide.

Gates Cambridge

The Gates Cambridge is open to U.S. and non-U.S. citizens who are seniors, alumni, or graduate/professional students.  The award fully funds one to four years of study in any field, leading to a graduate degree at the University of Cambridge, England. The Gates Foundation especially seeks applicants with a focus on improving the lives of others through their work.

Benjamin Gilman

The Gilman Scholarship is for U.S. citizen recipients of the Pell Grant, to support them in study abroad programs.  The award is for up to $5,000, with a possible additional $3,000 for applicants studying critical need languages during their study abroad. 

Foundation Deadlines:

  • First Tuesday of October for spring studies abroad and summer early applications (October 5, 2023)
  • First Tuesday of March for summer, fall, and full academic year studies abroad (March 7, 2024)

Humanity in Action

The Humanity in Action Fellowship brings together international groups of fellows to study minority rights and produce original research on tolerance and democratic values. The award funds five-week summer programs in six different cities in the US and Europe for students and recent graduates from (or studying in) the US and other select countries.

Henry Luce

The Luce Scholarship is for U.S. citizens under the age of 30 who are young professionals, seniors, and graduate/professional students. The award fully funds a one-year internship in East or Southeast Asia for those with little academic or personal experience with Asia.

Marshall

The Marshall Scholarship is for U.S. citizens with an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.7. Seniors, graduate/professional students, and alumni may apply within two years of earning their undergraduate degree.  The award fully funds one to three years of study leading to a degree at any British university.

McCall MacBain Scholarship

The McCall MacBain Scholarship fully funds an eligible master's degree in a variety of fields at McGill University in Canada. Applicants must meet GPA (and other) requirements of their target program at McGill to be eligible. Seniors and alumni under 30 may apply.

Mitchell

The George J. Mitchell Scholarship is for U.S. citizens under the age of 30.  The award fully funds one year of postgraduate study in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.

NSEP Boren

The NSEP Boren award provides funding for study abroad in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests.  It is open to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who commit to seek work in the federal government for a specified period of time.

Rhodes

The Rhodes Scholarship is for U.S. citizens or citizens from 63 other countries under the age of 24 who are seniors, graduate/professional students, or recent alumni. The Rhodes fully funds two to three years of study leading to a degree at the University of Oxford, England.

Schwarzman Scholarship

This scholarship provides a year of study leading to a Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics and Business, or International Studies at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. All courses are taught in English.
