Coming up in September, the Fellowships & Scholarships Office will be hosting two workshops on the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship with Dr. Susan Finger presenting. Dr. Finger, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, will tell you everything you need to know about the applying for NSF, including how to put together a competitive application. Though seniors and beginning graduate students are eligible, underclassmen and faculty are also welcome to attend this session. Open to US citizens, US nationals and permanent residents.
September 16 (Tuesday)
12-1:30pm
Doherty Hall A310
The same information will be presented at both workshops, so you only need to attend one.
No RSVP required and pizza will be served.

Toward a More Peaceful World - Harriet Fulbright
Harriet Fulbright, in a speech entitled "Toward a More Peaceful World," will share with us the growth and strength of the Fulbright Program and the benefits of international education. She is the wife of Senator J. William Fulbright who established the Fulbright Program in response to the horrific effects of the atomic explosions dropped on Japan at the end of World War II. For over half a century the Fulbright Program has grown and added elements in response to the changing world. All students and faculty are welcome! Mrs. Fulbright will present on September 25, at 4:30pm in the Adamson Wing (136A) in Baker Hall as part of the University Lecture Series.
