About the Fellowships and Scholarships Office

The Fellowships and Scholarships Office provides support to Carnegie Mellon students who are interested in pursuing external scholarships and fellowships. The office works with students to help them develop competitive applications, identifies and supports faculty and staff representatives for a select number of prestigious scholarships and fellowships, maintains a website of external scholarship and fellowship opportunities, and manages campus selection processes.

Stephanie Wallach is the Director of the Fellowships and Scholarships Office.

Judith Zang is the Fellowships Advisor at the Fellowships and Scholarships Office. Judy is a liaison with students, faculty, campus staff, and the funding organizations. She advises students about scholarship opportunities, and offers hands-on assistance with the application process.

Julia Spencer is the Program Assistant at the Fellowships and Scholarships Office. Julia assists Judy with promoting scholarship opportunities, scheduling appointments and supporting students pursuing scholarships and fellowships. Julia Brown is the Student Assistant at the Fellowships and Scholarships Office. Julia has been working at the FSO since Fall of 2004, promoting scholarship opportunities and assisting in the support of students pursuing these awards. She is a senior in Professional Writing.
