Supplier Diversity Program

The goals of the Carnegie Mellon's Supplier Diversity Program are:

1. Identify and qualify local, regional and national diversity suppliers that can supply high quality goods and services to CMU.
2. Foster existing diverse relationships that are mutually beneficial helping develop capacity and capability.
3. Partner with our local supplier diversity chapters.

Carnegie Mellon is an active member of the Western Pennsylvania Minority Supplier Development Council (WPMSDC) and Procurement Services is a member of the CMU Diversity Advisory Council (DAC).  The DAC was created by President Jared L. Cohon in 2000 to assess the status of diversity at Carnegie Mellon, study the issues and challenges associated with increasing diversity at the university, prepare short- and long-term recommendations that focus on the needs of many constituencies throughout the university community, and assist in the implementation of those recommendations.
