Dues and fees for business or professional memberships required to carry a professional designation and/or to maintain active membership in a business or professional association that is directly related to the employee's job responsibilities at the university are reimbursable per the policy; however, it is subject to departmental approval. Individual memberships are not allowed on federally funded awards, directly or indirectly, even if required as part of a conference registration fee.
