Prof. Whitacre Testifies Before the U.S. House of Representatives Science Committee Energy Subcommittee
On May 1, 2015, Jay Whitacre, professor of Materials Science and Engineering, Engineering and Public Policy, and CEO of Aquion Energy, testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Science Committee Energy Subcommittee.
During the hearing, government and industry experts discussed the state of large-scale battery storage, including breakthroughs developed at universities and national labs in the US. The focus of the hearing was on ways companies are transitioning science research into battery storage technology for the marketplace.
