Campus Environmental Assessment

The Carnegie Mellon Environmental Assessment completed January 2005, identifies quantitative measures that provide direct or indirect indicators of environmental performance. The assessment began in 2001 with primarily student intern assistance as well as some students working on independent studies and course work. In 2004 GPC was awarded a SEER grant to fund a graduate student to complete the environmental assessment. The intention of the assessment is to be updated annually by an intern and will be an important tool for measuring performance, assessing progress, and setting goals with respect to environmental practices.
