Green Teams at Carnegie Mellon
A Green Team is a voluntary group of faculty, students, and staff -- usually within one department -- who are interested in minimizing the environmental impacts of their workplace and teaching fellow co-workers about sustainable practices. These groups work together to assess their office energy, lighting, indoor air quality, waste management, purchasing, transportation, commuting, travel, and general workplace practices.
A Green Team guide is in development, but in the meantime, several CMU departments have existing Green Teams you can consult with to guide your efforts:
