For Rising Seniors
We are looking for students who want to strengthen their academic and personal skills, thus stimulating an outstanding performance in their senior year, and increasing chances for admission to highly selective universities. We hope a significant percentage of participants will be admitted to Carnegie Mellon and will ultimately decide to enroll because of their experience in the Summer Academy.
The curriculum for rising high school seniors will include credit and non-credit courses designed and taught by members of the Carnegie Mellon faculty, outstanding teachers and graduate students carefully chosen because of their commitment to teaching and their ability to relate to 11th and 12th grade students. Upperclass students will serve as classroom assistants, tutors and mentors to program participants.
