AP/EA Fees & Requirements
Resident - $8,093
(tuition for two courses, housing, dining, activities fee)
Commuter - $5,960
(tuition for two courses, dining, activities fee)
Commuter - $3,480
(tuition for one course, dining, activities fee)
The part of the cost that represents tuition is, on a per-unit basis, significantly lower than the normal academic year rate for credit courses.
To be eligible to attend AP/EA, students who do not reside in southwestern Pennsylvania must:
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Have completed your sophomore year of high school.
Applications are also accepted from:
Students entering Carnegie Mellon or any other college as freshmen in the fall of 2014.
- Advanced younger students, such as 9th and 10th graders who are Western Pennsylvania residents.
Full-time AP/EA students cannot be employed on or off campus for the duration of the program.
