Applicants to the Schools of Art, Design, Drama or Music must audition or complete a portfolio review in order to be considered for admission.  The School of Architecture requires an online questionnaire and highly recommends that applicants do a portfolio review.

Throughout this site, you’ll find details about each school’s specific admission procedure, including information on how to prepare for an artistic review.  If you intend to audition or complete a portfolio review for more than one program, you will need to complete the registration process for each program, and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The School of Drama is requiring all students to submit the Common Application and Carnegie Mellon Supplement in order to register for an audition or portfolio review.

In order to have an audition or portfolio review, you must submit your Common Application and Carnegie Mellon Common Application Supplement by the following dates:
