Gabriela Hug is an assistant professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Engineering and Public Policy. She is also the co-director of the Electric Energy Systems Group (EESG) at CMU. Hug discussed her work in optimizing electrical power systems, which will make energy storage solutions and smart grids more efficient and cost-effective.
Gabriella Hug is one of the many faculty experts at Carnegie Mellon University contributing to the work of the Wilton E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation. Hug discusses how the grid can be made to work better without building a lot of new power lines.
