Are You Using a Device That May Be Regulated?

Did you know that some equipment may have regulations that govern their purchase, use and disposal?

Examples of such devices may include, but are not limited to:

  • X-ray producing devices and X-ray tubes
  • Lasers and laser systems
  • Static eliminators
  • Gas chromatographs
  • X-ray particle spectrometers (XPS)
  • Electron microscopes

If you possess or use any of the devices listed above and you have not yet registered them with the Department of Environmental Health and Safety, or if you plan on purchasing/acquiring or disposing of such devices, please contact Andrew Lawson at 8-8405 or  email him  at alawson@andrew.cmu.edu
