Pyrophoric Handling

Following up on something from pervious years, I would like to remind you all of the Pyrophoric Material Handling Policy, now in effect.

The policy requires that accurate amounts of these materials be entered into the ChemTracker database. Also, that work with them only occur during normal working hours, with written permission from the PI, never alone, and with written use procedures and proper protective equipment, including flame-resistant lab coats. In Mellon Institute, all pyrophoric use and storage must be on either the 7th or 8th floors.
