H1N1 Influenza Pandemic

Many of you will remember last year at this time when the University was dealing with an onslaught of students sick with H1N1 influenza. Many of us got vaccinated for this (once the vaccine was available), and watched the pandemic play out. Fortunately, things turned out somewhat less serious than originally anticipated, though many people were very sick.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has now declared the pandemic to be over. As far as we know, we only have to worry about more standard strains of influenza coming up. So keep washing your hands, avoid sick persons, and stay home when you are sick yourself. These precautions are important for all types of influenza.
