Nanotechnology Update

As the use of nanomaterials increases (and it is growing quite fast!) so does information about their safety.  EH&S has updated its Nanotechnology Safety fact sheet to reflect some of these changes.  The very small size of these materials, and their shape (most notably if using nano-rods or nano-tubes) make them potentially very serious health hazards if not handled properly.

Please go to this link and check out the updated Fact Sheet!  http://www.cmu.edu/ehs/fact-sheets/nanoparticle-safety.pdf
