Lab Inspection Follow Ups

Michael Patrick, who performs most of our laboratory inspections, visits labs initially and returns for a follow-up if deficiencies are found (typically in 30 days.) This is to ensure that the lab’s deficiencies have been corrected.  If this second visit yields deficiencies still uncorrected, the laboratory PI will be contacted by the University’s Chemical Hygiene Officer (Mark Banister) who will request a firm plan for correcting the deficiencies.  If this plan is not submitted and/or adhered to, the department head will be informed of the issue and his or her assistance will be requested.
