Student Construction

Structural Building Guidelines

The Structural Building Guidelines explain a plan submittal and review process and building requirements that must be followed by students erecting any temporary structure in university buildings or on university grounds. These requirements also cover use of approved flame retardants and safety measures to be taken during both construction and demolition. These guidelines also refer to local municipal permit requirements relating to the use of tents and open flames.

Student Project Display Application

Any student planning to erect any art, social, political display in university buildings or spaces not normally dedicated to such display, or on university grounds, must submit the Student Project Display Application for review and approval to the Environmental Health & Safety office or call 8-8182.
