Prior to joining the Dietrich family, I spent almost seven years working at the School of General Studies at Columbia University.  At GS, I oversaw all the programming in the Dean of Students Office related to student life, retention initiatives, international programs and academic support services, while playing a key supervisory role in academic advising. Now, I have the pleasure of serving as the leader of the amazing academic advising team here at Dietrich.  This is a great group of individuals ready to help you in any way.  Please stop by and say hello.  I can’t wait to meet all of you!

I have several cities that I call home: Miami, FL, New York, NY, and more recently, Pittsburgh, PA.  I received my bachelor of science degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University’s and a master of arts and master of education in higher and post-secondary education from Teachers College at Columbia University.  When I’m not at the office, I am taking some time to get to know the city of Pittsburgh.  I love the outdoors, so don’t be surprised if you find me running around town or hiking in the nearby parks.

I grew up outside of Pittsburgh in the small city of Jeannette, PA.  I attended Clarion University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2011 and received a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University in May of 2013.  I was a student-athlete for four years and I am still coaching swimming at the collegiate level.  I have experience in both career and academic counseling where I worked specifically with undeclared students.  The skills and knowledge I gained will help me in academic advising, as well as making a positive impact on the lives of Carnegie Mellon University students.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, doing CrossFit, and reading.  My door is always open, so feel free to stop by!  I look forward to meeting you!

Originally from New Jersey, I moved to Pittsburgh in 2014 and have fallen in love with this city! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2009 from Ramapo College of New Jersey and my Master’s degree in Higher and Post-secondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2011. Since then, I’ve worked at a few institutions primarily in residence life/housing, career counseling, and academic advising. Upon moving to Pittsburgh, I began working at CMU in the Division of Student Affairs and transitioned to the Dietrich AAC in 2016.

In my spare time, I enjoy baking and cooking, crafting, and spending time with family and friends. I am also part of a community choir and love to sing!

I am thrilled to be a part of the Dietrich family, as I have a passion for the humanities and social sciences. I look forward to working with you in your transition to CMU and throughout your time here! Stop by anytime!

I have spent the past four years working in student leadership development at Mount Holyoke College in Western Massachusetts, supporting students during their experience living and learning on campus. Prior to that, while earning my Master’s Degree in Business at The University of Massachusetts Amherst, I supervised RAs within Residential Life, overseeing a freshman science and engineering community. I spent most of my life growing up on the east coast of Virginia and am proud to call myself a Hokie, having attended Virginia Tech as an undergraduate studying Business Entrepreneurship.

I am very thrilled to have found a home here at CMU amongst incredibly talented students, staff, and faculty. When I am not in the AAC, you can probably find me exploring the foodie scene around Pittsburgh, which is a brand new city to me as of summer 2016. If not that, then I am likely planning my next trip abroad to explore new countries and cultures.

I grew up in South China where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. After earning a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from University of Rochester, I moved to Pittsburgh with my family in 2011. Professionally, I have experience working with international students on their adjustment to the US as well as teaching Chinese language and culture to international students.

Having joined the Dietrich College Academic Advisory Center recently, I am as excited as you to be part of the CMU community. I look forward to meeting you and assisting you in your success at CMU!
