3RVF Venture Fair Technology Showcase: Applications due July 22, 2011

We are looking to identify promising technology companies for participation in the 3 Rivers Venture Fairs (3RVF) Technology Showcase that expect to seek venture investment in the next 18-24 months.  
The 3RVF Technology Showcase will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 right before the start of the 3 Rivers Venture Fair, a premier regional event. The Showcase is for entrepreneurs, pre-formation and early-stage companies who are looking to gain insights, identify the right channels and partners, generate consumer interest, adopt the right revenue model, and raise money. The audience will consist of prospective investors and other interested parties.
Presenters will be required to give a 3 minute pitch followed by one question from an event panelist (venture capitalist, angel investor or entrepreneur). Each presenter may show 1 slide.

Please provide the following information if you are interested in applying for participation in this event:
-          Why do you want to participate?

-          What is your technology/business?

-          Who are your customers?

-          Why would the Fair attendees be interested in your technology/business?

-          What is the status of your technology and company development?

Note: Companies that have already raised equity financing other than founders’ own investments are not eligible to participate.

The audience will select winners who will be awarded a prize of:
$2,500 for 1st place
$1,500 for 2nd place
$1,000 for 3rd place

We will select 7 companies/projects from Carnegie Mellon and the same number will be selected from University of Pittsburgh.
