Instructions for printing to the Nuvera at the Tepper Copy Center.
Select Start
Control Panel (or Settings in Windows 2000)
Printers and Faxes
Click on Add a Printer
Click “Next”
Make sure that “Local printer…” is selected and click “Next”
Make sure that “Create a new…” is selected and that “ Standard TCP/IP Port ” has been chosen in the drop-down menu. Then click “Next”
Click “Next” and the add a printer wizard will go to the next step. At this next window, make sure that the “Printer Name or IP Address” is filled in with “docutech120-tepper.campusservices.cmu.local” This is the name of the printer on the CMU network. Then click “Next.”
Make sure that “Standard is chosen and that “Generic Network Card” is selected.
This next window is just to give you a confirmation of what has been selected before the printer driver is installed. Click “Next”
This next screen is to choose the printer driver needed for your compter to properly format documents for the Nuvera system at the Tepper copy center. Choose Xerox in the “Manufacturer” column, and choose “Xerox Nuvera 120 DC/P PS” under the “Printers” column. If this device does not show up on your machine you can click on Windows Update to pull a copy of the driver from Microsoft or go to Xerox and download the drivers yourself here.
Next, go to Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes
Right-click on your new printer and choose “Properties” from the pop-up menu that appears.
On this next window, select the tab at the top that is labeled “Ports”
Click on “Configure Port…”
Make sure that the information in your port setting window is set just as you see in the above image. And click on “OK”
You may now close all windows and you are ready to print
