Training and Education

Computing Services offers the following learning opportunities to faculty, staff and students:

  • Learning Anytime - A subscription service with self-paced tutorials and instructor-facilitated online courses.
  • Computing@Carnegie Mellon - education for incoming students that is intended to introduce available computing resources, raise awareness on safe computing practices and inform them of their responsibilities as users in our computing community.

For step-by-step instructions to your campus computing questions (e.g., password management, connecting to the network, email, security, printing, web publishing, etc.),  see our documentation collection.

We also have an online video library.  Videos include: email client configuration, online security and classroom equipment demonstrations.

Although no longer supported by Computing Services, documentation from previously offered Computer Education classes (e.g., Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Excel, etc.) is available in our contributed documentation collection. Please note that these documents are being offered as a courtesy but will no longer be updated.
