MATLAB, SIMULINK and Toolboxes
Computing Services holds a classroom license for student reseach and faculty who teach with MATLAB.
Under the classroom license Matlab can be used by students for coursework and research leading to a research paper, a thesis or a dissertation, and by faculty to prepare and evaluate course material. This license is governed by a FlexLM license server to which eligible users are identified by their userid. Computers must belong to Carnegie Mellon University, be located on a university campus in North Americas and be on the campus network. Under the classroom license Matlab cannot be installed on personally owned computers, computers that are not located on a university campus in North America or on stand alone computers.

Eligible equipment: Andrew Linux workstations, computers in on-campus facilities that are used by students for coursework and research and/or by faculty and their TAs for course preparation and evaluation. The computers, except as noted below, must be on the campus network and able to connect to the FlexLM license server that Computing Services maintains for the Matlab Classroom License.
