Bomgar Jump Client Deployment

In an effort to provide better support to our customers, the Desktop Support Program will deploy the Bomgar Jump Client to DSP-managed Windows computers at noon on Tuesday, February 7. The software will be deployed to Apple customers in the near future, pending additional deployment testing. What is Bomgar?

Bomgar is a software program that allows DSP to provide our customers "remote" assistance with their Windows or Mac computers when on-site support is unavailable. Bomgar will replace the built-in Microsoft Remote Assistance tool that DSP has used in the past.

What should you expect?

No action is necessary on your part. The Bomgar Jump Client installs automatically, and does not require a reboot. During the installation, you may briefly see a pop-up or two as the installation completes and the Jump Client checks back in to the Bomgar console. Your work will not be interrupted.
