SECURITY ALERT: Update Available for Internet Explorer

WHOM DOES THIS AFFECT?
Users of Internet Explorer versions 6, 7, 8 and 9.
On September 18, Computing Services issued a security alert regarding a critical vulnerability in Internet Explorer versions 6, 7, 8 and 9. Microsoft has released a patch for Internet Explorer. The Information Security Office will continue to monitor for and block known malicious websites.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
If you use a Windows computer, run Windows Update as soon as possible. To do so, click Start > All Programs and then select Windows Update. Once the Internet Explorer patch has been installed, you can safely resume use of Internet Explorer.
If you have difficulty locating or running Windows Update, visit Microsoft's website for additional information.
