NETWORK OUTAGE: Multiple Campus Bldgs. 11/11 & 11/12

TIME: 4:00 - 7:00 a.m.

AREAS/BUILDINGS AFFECTED:

Tuesday, Nov. 11:  Cyert Hall, Warner Hall, Purnell Center, Porter Hall and Baker Hall
Wednesday, Nov. 12:  Doherty Hall, Roberts Hall and Scaife Hall

ACTION:

Please turn off all computers and appliances in your space BEFORE leaving on the day prior to this outage.

SERVICES AFFECTED:
The buildings listed above will be without electrical power for up to 30 minutes within the time range indicated. FMS is unable to predict the specific period of time that each building will be affected. 

If you are using a wired or wireless connection within one of the affected buildings, you may not have a network connection. Therefore, you will NOT have access to many services throughout the course of this outage (e.g. email, calendar, Internet connectivity, etc.). Likewise, users will not have access to services hosted on servers within your building.

This outage will have no affect on the services or Internet access to the rest of the Pittsburgh campus.

TECHNICAL DETAILS:
FMS has planned this electrical outage to facilitate construction work at the Gates Building site.
