Network Outage, Thursday 2/14/08

The Network Outage for 6555 Penn Avenue that was originally scheduled for Thursday, February 7 has been rescheduled. The new date and time is Thursday, February 14 between midnight and 6 a.m. A revised announcement is included below. We apologize for any inconvenience.

WHERE:   6555 Penn Avenue

TIME:       Midnight - 6 a.m.

SERVICES AFFECTED:
Within 6555 Penn Avenue, wired and wireless service and reliant services (e.g., Internet connectivity, email, calendar, etc.) will be affected. Also affected will be the Administrative Computing "DR" site. Additionally, others will not have access to services hosted on servers within the 6555 Penn Avenue building.

REASON FOR THE OUTAGE:
Fibertech, Carnegie Mellon's fiber provider for 6555 Penn Ave, is replacing damaged fiber between the main campus and 6555 Penn Ave.
