Scheduled Network Outage (wired and wireless)

AREAS/BUILDINGS AFFECTED:
CAMPUS-WIDE: Wireless
Cyert Hall: Wired

On Thursday August 23, 2007 at 5AM, there will be a brief power interruption in Cyert Hall.  This interruption is necessary in order to transfer existing circuits to new, generator-backed circuits.  This transfer of circuits will take approximately 5 minutes but services may be interrupted for up to 30 minutes while equipment reboots.

SERVICES AFFECTED:
If you are using a Wired (in Cyert Hall) or Wireless (Campus-wide) connection within one of the affected buildings, you will not have a network connection. Therefore, you will NOT have access to many services throughout the course of this maintenance (e.g., email, calendar, internet connectivity, etc.). Likewise, users will not have access to services hosted on servers within your building.
