What is RSS?
RSS is a format for publishing news and other frequently updated content. Users subscribe to an RSS feed by typing the RSS link into a reader. The readers checks a user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content. Any updates that are found are then downloaded.
The advantage to using RSS feeds is that a user may select different types of information from a variety of web sites and view them all at the same time through an RSS reader.
