New Cluster Reservation & Software Request Process Begins Jan. 21
(US Eastern Time)
DATE: January 18
To make cluster reservations consistent with Registrar-controlled classroom reservations, beginning January 21, Clusters Services will follow a new process for reserving Computing Services-operated clusters and requesting software installation on cluster machines, unix.andrew and Virtual Andrew.
The new reservation process will be handled through SpaceQuest (25Live), the tool used to reserve Registrar-controlled classrooms and many other Pittsburgh campus spaces.
To submit a cluster reservation under the new process, follow the steps below. We recommend using the Mozilla Firefox browser.
- Log in with your Andrew userID and password.
- Select the “Event Creation and Editing” tab and follow the steps within the wizard to reserve your cluster or software.
Further details on the cluster reservations process are available at http://www.cmu.edu/computing/clusters/reserve/.
