Fall 2008 Cluster and Software Reservations

It's that time again!  Please remember to reserve your cluster rooms and software for the fall 2008 semester.  All reservation requests must be made by March 31, 2008. 

This semester, Computing Services Clusters is unveiling its new reservation request system.  If you need a cluster and/or software reservation for fall 2008, please complete the appropriate request available from: https://clusters.andrew.cmu.edu/reservations/reservations/  The new reservation system should be used to request:

  • A Semester-long Cluster Reservation (with/without software): Use this option to request a cluster reservation AND software applications for a repeating time throughout the semester (e.g., every Tuesday and Thursday from noon-1:20 pm). Also, select any software that students will need to complete required coursework and special software needs.
  • Cluster Reservations for Certain Dates: Use this option to request cluster reservations AND software applications for a specific event date or series of dates. 
  • Software Only: Use this option when you don't need a cluster space but require software applications that students in your class will use for their schoolwork outside of class.

It is important that you request all software that you will need, including software that is already available in the clusters. All requests for applications that are not currently included in the clusters will undergo a review process for approval or denial.

Note: The new reservation system uses your AndrewID and password for authentication.  You will no longer need a separate login.  However, you will be prompted for basic contact information the first time you access the system.  This contact information is accessible through the reservation system to be updated at any time.
