SIS Message from the CIO
Campus Community,
This week Computing Services has been experiencing some technical issues with one of its servers that house a number of applications, including the Human Resources Information System and the Student Information System.
Efforts are being made around the clock to resolve the issues. Technical problems with servers are not uncommon but vary in how difficult they are to diagnosis and repair. On rare occasions, like this one, the standard diagnostic tools don't point to a clear cause and it takes much longer than usual to fix.
One of the very first questions asked and answered in this process is whether the problem was produced by an unauthorized intrusion into the system. The Information Security Office investigated this carefully and concluded that there was no evidence that an intrusion was the cause.
