AREAS/BUILDINGS AFFECTED: CAMPUS-WIDE

Between now and mid-January, you may see technicians from Computing Services and our vendor partners, Aruba Networks and Xirrus, setting up test equipment and walking around buildings with laptops and other testing equipment.

Over these next several weeks, the technicians will be gathering data to determine the best placement for wireless access points for the new Wireless Andrew 2.0 project.  For more information about Wireless Andrew 2.0, please visit http://www.cmu.edu/computing/news/wireless2/.

All work in the campus residence halls will be conducted between 12/19/07 and 1/11/08 while students are away on the winter break.  University Housing will be sending a schedule so that you will know when technicians will be in your area.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  Please be assured that technicians will be careful to minimize any disruption to the normal activities in the buildings.

If you have any questions about this work or Wireless Andrew 2.0 please contact the Help Center at advisor@andrew.cmu.edu or x8-4357.
