Carnegie Mellon Computing Services holds licenses for a number of software packages. Campus affiliates may choose to download software through the Software web page or through the Carnegie Mellon web portal.

Download through the Software Page
To get started quickly, visit Computing Services' software list that is geared to new users. If you need additional software applications, visit the complete list of titles on the Software Download web page. For more information on downloading software, read the Software Overview.
Download through the Web Portal
Follow these steps to download software:
- Visit the Carnegie Mellon Web Portal at http://my.cmu.edu/. The WebISO Secure Login screen appears (to verify that you are a campus affiliate). Sign in with your UserID and password.
- If you haven't already downloaded the Carnegie Mellon CA Root Certificates, click the WebISO screen to install them. Once the certificates are installed return to the WebISO Secure Login screen and enter your UserID and password. The Web Portal screen appears.
- To download software click the My Accounts tab.
Sponsored Account holders, Pre-College, PA Governor School, SAMS and CMAP students
Your affiliation level permits you to download ONLY Kerberos for Windows and Mac, and the CA Root Certificates.
