Clusters: Public Computing Labs
Computing Services maintains seventeen public computer spaces in seven buildings; at Carnegie Mellon, these computer labs are known as "clusters". In order to access a cluster computer, you need to know your Andrew ID and password (see Managing Your Andrew Account Password). To view a list of clusters and their locations, as well as the hardware and software each cluster offers, visit the cluster facility page.
Clusters are often reserved for class use. During these times the cluster is not open to the public. Before you plan to use a specific cluster, refer to the Cluster Reservation Calendar. The calendar is secure; you'll need to enter your Andrew ID and password.
For more information, visit Computing Clusters and Printing web pages and the Cluster Guide.
