Lookup Your Andrew userID and Set Your Password
Your Andrew account is your gateway to the computing environment at Carnegie Mellon. Your account gives you access to email, network registration, Computing Services public computer labs "clusters" and other resources.
What is my Andrew userID?
To determine your Andrew userID, visit the Carnegie Mellon Directory. If your email address is juser@andrew.cmu.edu then, your Andrew userID is juser.
Setting a Strong Password
So that access to computing resources is not interrupted, it is important to set a personal strong password. You will need your Andrew userID and the first eight digits of your student identification number. This number can be found on the student account invoice you received from Enrollment Services. If you do not know your student identification number, please visit the HUB (lower level of Warner Hall).
- Go to the Carnegie Mellon Identity Manager page.
- Enter your Andrew userID and the first eight-digits of your student identification number.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set your new password.
- Set your security questions. If you forget your Andrew account password, this self service utility will allow you to create a new one.
