Wireless Ethernet Connections

Wireless Networking Hardware

To establish a wireless connection on your laptop computer, your computer must have a wireless Ethernet card. Most newer laptops come with a wireless card already installed. You will need to register your computer’s MAC address through the AuthBridge Registration system.

Wireless Registration through AuthBridge

AuthBridge is Carnegie Mellon’s network registration system for wireless users. It allows anyone with a valid Andrew ID who is using a wireless Ethernet card to easily register their computer on the campus wireless network.

To access AuthBridge, launch a web browser and visit the FirstConnect site. Once you have completed the steps, registration should take effect immediately.
