Connecting to the Network
The Andrew Network is the heart of computing on campus. Access is provided at speeds of 10/100 MBP Switched. Beginning October 1, 1999, Computing Services officially supported Wireless Andrew, the largest installation of wireless infrastructure at the time. Today, the 802.11b network provides coverage at up to 11Mbps in nearly all academic, administrative, and residence halls, as well as exterior common spaces. This coverage requires more than 1000 wavepoints throughout campus.
The Andrew Network supports both wired Ethernet and wireless Ethernet connections on campus.
